The new app Napkin doesn’t want to be you’re next note-taking app. Instead, it’s all about collecting good ideas you don’t want to lose and mindfulness.

Along with typing in ideas, you can also easily use your iPhone camera to snap a picture. Those are converted into text in the app.

Using AI, the app will sort your thoughts into different categories to easily view. Those will grow and change as you add more ideas into the app.

With an existing idea, you can easily edit it, put it in an archive, or share it with others. A single tap will also show related ideas.

The team behind Napkin wanted to help bring short moments of reflection into a natural part of your life to feel more focused and calm.

The app is built around improving your Sense of Coherence. That has a strong effect on mental wellbeing.

Keeping with the simple premise, there’s no notifications or other nags. Just use the app when you want.

Only for the iPhone, Napkin is a free download on the App Store now. You’ll need a subscription to use the app. There are two options available—$6 per month or $50 per year. Both option have a free, seven-day trial.
